INSTRUCTIONS:
For Berry Compote: Heat ghee in saucepan.
Add frozen berries, maple, and vanilla, bring to boil on medium-high heat.
Simmer for about two more mins, then set aside.
For French Toast: Spray a skillet with coconut oil and warm on medium-high heat.
In a wide bowl, whisk french toast ingredients: Egg whites, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla, melted ghee, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Place bread in mixture and coat.
Add slices to heated griddle and fry on med-high heat for about 5mins per side.
Store leftovers in freezer and reheat by placing toast in toaster! I love these bags for freezer leftovers!
NOTES:
I like to add melted ghee into the french toast batter. Then I just spray my griddle with cooking spray. This gives me the buttery flavor without having to go through so much ghee as a cooking oil.
ENJOY!!!!
